Caring = love

“It’s not enough to love animals; we must actively protect and preserve them. It’s our duty and responsibility as custodians of this planet.” — Daphne Sheldrick.

As someone once wrote, “Animals hold a mirror to our humanity, reflecting our capacity for empathy, compassion, and coexistence. And because of that, the topic of animal rights isn’t merely about animals — but also about us — about the kind of world we wish to inhabit.”

While we understand that most people are not able to change the plight of animals in disadvantaged communities (such as what we at the JSPCA endeavour to do) really caring for your own pets is already a good start.

As we all know, taking care of pets is an ongoing commitment, and as we are  already in the second month of the new year, it is a great time to reassess and improve the well-being of your pets.

We therefore dedicate this issue of our newsletter to tips on pet care.
