Colder weather does not mean that ticks and fleas are not around.
Pet owners often stop tick and flea control during the winter when the flea life cycle slows down, but this could just give the flea population an opportunity to explode (every flea lays 40 to 50 eggs per day). It is therefore advisable to continue with tick and flea control throughout the year.
