Autumn has arrived

Autumn has arrived (read our 5 May newsletter here)

Autumn has arrived (seemingly overnight) with night-time temperatures dropping into single-digits.

As it gets colder, please ensure that all your animal friends have a comfortable, warm place to sleep and that they have enough fresh water. Just like humans, animals still need adequate hydration even when it’s colder outside. And once the mercury starts dipping below zero, please do take care that water resources are not frozen, especially for larger animals and livestock.

In this issue we share good news on some of our animals that have recently been adopted and highlight a few that are still waiting to find their perfect new family. Some of our donkeys have also found suitable homes, for which we are grateful.

Wishing you a super week!

Celeste and the Johannesburg SPCA Team
